Kindergarten is ready to roll with distance learning. This month we will be settling into new routines that include continuing to move our learning forward while maintaining all the skills we have learned so far. In math we will be comparing numbers, looking at patterns, and discussing values in pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. In reading we have many new sight words, which are words that cannot be sounded out easily. These words help a Kindergartner to grow as a reader and are important as we continue to read more difficult stories. We will also be listening to stories online using a variety of guest readers and will be able to write and draw our reactions to the stories! Our Bible stories are centering on the Life of David and his relationships on Earth and what we can learn from David’s faith and kindness, but how we can learn from even his mistakes. “God have mercy on me, a sinner.”
We trust that as we venture into a new type of learning, that the Lord has a purpose for us. As a teacher I daily look back to God’s promise from Jeremiah 29: 11 “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Blessings to you on this new adventure in your life as well!
