See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we may be called children of God.  And that is what we are!

1 John 3:1

These first months of the New Year have flown by so quickly!  With all of the snow and cold, we are certain that winter in Minnesota is here.  The students in fifth grade are thankful that the Lord has kept us safe and warm during these winter months!

The fifth graders have been hard at work.  They have begun analyzing primary and secondary sources to determine if the Great Wall of China was worth the cost.  They will write an argumentative essay based on their findings. Students have been learning more complicated mathematics including understanding decimals, fractions, and percents.  They have also been studying the parables that Jesus told in order to understand what they mean for us today.

Students in fifth grade are also excited for the upcoming Science Showcase in April where they will have the opportunity to share their science projects.  They are also looking forward to our upcoming track season where they will have the chance to showcase their running talents! May God bless and keep all of you!
