Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

As the cooler weather approaches, the fifth graders are just getting warmed up to the exciting and new things they are learning in school!  We have been hard at work developing good homework routines and study habits for the school year that we will carry into the quarters ahead.

In our classroom, we are gearing up to learn about ancient civilizations and their connection to the Bible in geography.  We are moving into multiplication, long division, and more advanced word problems in mathematics.  The fifth graders are also honing their writing and reading skills as we work on descriptive writing and reader responses.

We are excited to share our forensics projects not only with parents, but also at Martin Luther College in November.  Get ready for creative performances of poetry, prose, stories, and more!

The fifth grade is thankful for the opportunity to grow and study God’s word each day through devotion, Christ Light, and Catechism.  May God continue to bless us and watch over all of us as we study this year!
