I am originally from Lake City, Minnesota, which is a small river valley town right on the Mississippi River. Most of my family still lives in the Lake City area. I have three sisters, four brothers, and fourteen nieces and nephews. There are a lot of us, but that is exactly what I love about my family!
I graduated from Martin Luther College in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with an emphasis in history. I have a passion for teaching, and I am so blessed to be doing what I love each and every day!
After teaching third grade Watertown, SD for three years, I moved to Doral, FL. While serving in Florida for seven years, I spent most of my years teaching fourth grade, but I also taught sixth, seventh, and eighth as well. I have coached a variety of sports including tennis, track, basketball, and soccer.
I am an avid runner, and love to play tennis, softball, and most other sports.. I love to read, paint, and spend time with family and friends. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to serve at St. John!
